To be clear the most I would think would be necessary would be the saving and versioning to GitHub. Maybe every time the auto save happens or maybe if there is a commit button. The only issue are collisions or merges so thinking that through here is the real goal: off system storage and versioning. Github could be a future feature because of CI/CD considerations, but maybe something as simple as a button to auto push this to a new google doc, GitHub version (no multiple devs), or some type of versioned system like that.
